Description
The greatest collection of ceramics in the world is shown just in Faenza, in the International Museum of Ceramics. You will be captured by the great variety of decorative styles belonging to different countries and spanning many centuries: from the charm of ancient pre-columbian American art to the modern objects of the most important contemporary artists; from the splendor of Italian Renaissance majolica to Islamic pottery culture.
After a guided visit, you will have the pleasure of assisting at a practical demonstration: a skillful Faenza’s ceramist will show you some pottery techniques and his own wonderful collection of ceramics in his shop.
The itinerary includes a typical regional lunch in Brisighella, one of the most interesting and fascinating medieval village in Italy, where you will have some spare time in order to go shopping or admiring the ancient monuments, such as “La Rocca” and the marvelous Pieve di S. Giovanni in Ottavio.
On the way back, you will be delighted by a wine tasting during the visit to a successful winery.
