Viaggi Salvadori é un nome storico nel turismo, infatti nel lontano 18 aprile 1919 il capostipite Ettore Salvadori fonda una ditta individuale che porta il suo nome e con sede in via Galliera.
Salvadori was founded in 1919 as a shipping company. It was then that Ettore Salvadori established “Ettore Salvadori” in Bologna. Two years later, his brother Antonio joined the company, which was renamed “Fratelli Salvadori”. Just 10 years later, on June 20, 1929, they also began operating Viaggi Salvadori.
In 1933, with the arrival of Adelmo, Ettore’s son, a new chapter began. With foresight and entrepreneurial spirit, he drove a decisive wave of innovation that enabled the company to overcome the post-war years and successfully continue its journey through the 1980s. Today, Gabriella, Carlotta and Umberto are at the helm, carrying on the tradition with enthusiasm, passion and dedication, continuing to chart routes all over the world…

1931 | First Documented Recognition
In 1931, on the occasion of the weekly trips organized from Bologna to Sestola and Pian del Voglio, the Provincial Committee commended us for this wonderful initiative!!!
1933 - 1938 | Organized Trips
Some letters of praise to the agency for the excellent organization of trips carried out between 1933 and 1938 in Italy, England, the Netherlands, Germany and Libya.
The fear is over… a new world full of hope lies ahead… and Italians begin to travel…
1940 - 1948 | Organized Trips

1946 | IATA Certification
At the end of the war, on April 27, 1946, Viaggi Salvadori obtained IATA accreditation, and in 2003 it was officially recognized and awarded as the oldest IATA travel agency in the world!
1949 | Thanks from Czechoslovak Airlines
The Czech airline thanked us for the assistance provided to passengers following an engine failure.
These were years of great change… people were getting organized… and perhaps “globalization” was beginning.
1950 | Trip to Austria for RAI
The staff of Italian Radio in Bologna, Florence and Venice congratulated us on the excellent organization of the trip to Austria.
1954 | Alitalia Certificate of Appointment
Alitalia appointed Fratelli Salvadori Travel Agency as an official Alitalia retailer!
1957/58 | Tartarini and Monetti’s Round-the-World Journey on Ducati Motorcycles
For an entire year, from September 1957 to September 1958, the two travelled around the world, crossing every continent, from the vast Australian deserts to the Amazon rainforest and the peaks of the Andes, to promote the Ducati brand and build a network of dealers in countries where the Borgo Panigale manufacturer was not yet known… and Viaggi Salvadori was there to support them!
